February 15th, 2014As I mentioned in the “About the Roots” section, my name is Jensey and I was raised with Disney roots. I learned to walk in Disneyland, spent my college years flying teacups and spinning Dumbos, and even spent a few months on safari with Wilson Matua and Miss Jobson fighting poachers. (It was kind of a big deal, actually- I can’t tell you how many times I saved this one baby elephant!) About the time I left my role as a game driver, my husband booked his first wedding photography gig. I was a guest at that wedding, shot with his spare camera at the second, and nearly 250 weddings later, here we are! :)
Five years ago we re-branded our business with the ridiculous talents of a past Disney bride and groom of ours. Ever since then, I’ve been dyyyyyying to start a Disney blog! Over the years, we’ve collected thousands of park photos we’ve wanted to share. While I could sneak in a random Disney park photo here and there on our wedding blog, it never really made sense to post photos of Thunder Mountain when our readers are looking for pretty photos of weddings and family sessions.
I’m really excited to have a place to connect with other Disney fans through comments here, the Disney Roots Facebook page, or our Instagram account. If you didn’t follow our wedding blog before and have no idea who the heck Nate and I are, make sure you check out the “About the Roots” page! I am so stinking excited to have this dream come true! :)

I have been so not patiently waiting for this blog to go live!! There is nothing better than Disney photography and when it is done with my two favorite photographers it blows my mind! I am off to read everything.

And I vote that you somehow (even though you’re not supposed to) get pictures of the Carousel of Progress! If it wasn’t for the fact that Peter Pan is my favorite movie – therefore the ride is my favorite, COP would hands down be my number one =)
Anything for you, Shannon- I’ll make it my mission this year to sneak some photos of the COP! Any particular scenes or details that are you favorite? We have silent shutters and shoot without flash- We’ve got this! :)

AH you guys are the best! I mean any scene from COP would make me one happy camper and would definitely be promoted to my computer background immediately (which is currently a pic from our wedding with your watermark and everything, because it makes me that happy). But if I had to pick, I’d say one of the first two scenes because they are the best and I love all things old.

So happy you have started this blog! I have been a fan of your photography for so long – I am not a big wedding person but an avid Disney person!
I love photos where you guys manage to get amazing shots with no people in them, just the iconic buildings and attractions in them.
And of course any photo with characters, especially if they are hamming it up (well maybe Miss Piggy doesn’t ham it up . . .).

I love the little details hidden around Disney. I’d love to see a guess where this is type of blog entry! There are so many hidden gems that most people overlook (I’m sure you know what I’m talking about and have a whole lot of these pictures already.) ;)
